About Easter Wonder
The Easter Wonder Festival, initiated by the Family Word Centre, stands as a meaningful alternative for Christian children and families seeking to celebrate Easter with a profound focus on its authentic significance, untarnished by extraneous iconography and symbols.

There's no story in the Bible about a long-eared, cotton-tailed creature known as the Easter Bunny. Neither is there a passage about young children painting eggs or hunting for eggs. If you started with a 40 days Lent fast, then the Palm Sunday, the Holy Week, and his crucifixion, why would we end it with egg hunts and bunnies? We JUST SUCCESSFULLY confused the children. It is essential to conclude the journey with a celebration grounded in the solemnity of the Cross and the triumph of the empty tomb.

While the world may have commercialized Easter, associating it with unrelated artifacts, believers are called to maintain the purity of their celebration. The Easter Wonder Festival, a free and community-centric event, diligently places the symbols of the Cross and the empty tomb at the forefront. By doing so, it offers a joyous and family-friendly avenue for participants to revel in the true essence of Easter without succumbing to confusion or distraction.
About The Family Word Centre
The Family Word Centre, founded by Teacher Nneka in 2004, is a home for Bible-based activities aimed at reconnecting children, parents and adults to God through teachings, training, recreational and Biblical based events and activities that are Christ centered.
The Centre manages a weekly children Bible school, and a wide variety of children leadership and empowerment programs, training for parents, employees, and Sunday School teachers as well as recreational facilities including a Christian Spiritual Resort.

The Family Word Centre is also the organizer of A Night in Bethlehem Lekki, an annual 3-day Christmas festival and theme park that highlights the true messages from the birth of Christ.
